Conquest bids to atone in Royal Whip
Casual Conquest heads 11 entries for the Group 2 Royal Whip Stakes at the Curragh on Sunday.
Dermot Weld's four-year-old was a Group One winner on his last visit to the track, taking the Tattersalls Gold Cup ahead of his stablemate Famous Name. However he was subsequently disappointing when only third to She's Our Mark and Lord Admiral at Leopardstown last month.
The Luca Cumani-trained four-year-old Curtain Call could be among the opposition. The former Jessica Harrington inmate scored by three lengths on his last visit to the County Kildare track when beating Famous Name in the Mooresbridge Stakes in May, but he has been beaten on his last three runs.
Aidan O'Brien is mob-handed courtesy of Poet, Red Rock Canyon, Peter Tchaikovsky, Set Sail and Rockhampton. Hat-trick-seeker Shreyas and Via Galilei represent Jim Bolger, with Lord Admiral and Deauville Vision the other two among the five-day declarations.
