- Confusion reigns in Powerstown
Confusion reigns in Powerstown
Organisedconfusion proved an well-named winner of the Powerstown Chase at Clonmel after a dramatic finish to the feature event. See U Bob looked set to collect after hitting the front at the second last, in the 2m1f event, where long-time leader Top Of The Rock crashed out.
Paul Nolan 's gelding was clear coming to the final fence but got it all wrong and hit the deck. Mr Warbucks inherited the lead but started to tread water on the run-in and was passed in the closing stages by Organisedconfusion, who plugged on gamely under Davy Russell for a length-and-a-quarter success.
The Laveron gelding was coming into the race off the back of a decent third in a competitive Leopardstown handicap and his stamina looked to win the day.
Trainer Arthur Moore was not present to welcome back his winner, who was returned 6/4 favourite having traded at 5/2 in the morning.
