Condon keeps his good run going
Ken Condon continued his good run when saddling Bold Thady Quill to win the mile and half a furlong handicap at Cork in the hands of Shane Foley at 5/1.
After training a winner at Navan on Friday and Limerick yesterday, Condon secured his weekend hat-trick as Bold Thady Quill beat 3/1 favourite Deire Na Sli by a short head. Aznavour was third.
Condon said: “The ground is riding good. We would have been in trouble if it had been soft. We would have taken him out if the forecast rain had materialised.
“He has had two wind operations and like a lot of horses who have had wind problems his form is on better ground.
“He won by the skin of his teeth. Shane Foley is an excellent lad and his riding is first-class.”
