After his double at Bellewstown last evening there was further joy for Declan McDonogh to start the card at Tipperary as he won the sprint handicap on Comhghairdeas for Andy Slattery.
It was typically tight at the finish for an event of this nature and Comhghairdeas touched off Go Kart by a short head.
"He fell asunder when we gelded him this year and he's a big raw horse. I think we might pull the shoes off him now and leave him off for six months. Hopefully he will be a Premier Handicap horse next year," said Slattery.
"He won on good to firm but I'd say that's his preferred ground; hopefully he'll improve next season."
