Sheila Lavery's New Hill (5/1) saw off Zumoradda after a final-furlong battle in the second split of the Peggy Guerin Memorial Handicap at Roscommon.
New Hill went for home racing past the two marker but Zumoradda (12/1) moved into a threatening position and held every chance in the final furlong.
New Hill stayed gun-barrel straight in the final 100 yards as Zumoradda edged slightly left for a few strides.
There was a short head between the pair at the line with Tall Story (11/1) completing the places two and three quarter lengths back in third.
Winning jockey Robbie Colgan said: “The form worked out with the horse winning the other division [Cisco Disco who was a place in front of New Hill when they were second and third here on May 11th].
“She was probably a little bit green but she came on for the run the last day when Ben (Coen) rode her. She's getting better with racing.
“She was probably a little bit idle in front, it was her first time in front. She's still learning and hopefully there is more to come.”
