Several held chances on the approach to the final furlong of the Sonix Entertainment Handicap but it was La Juliana (13/2) who stayed on best to score for Colin Keane.
The daughter of U S Navy Flag did well to land the spoils from the outside stall and had three parts of a length to spare over Moutarde
Kevin Coleman trains the winner for Atomic Racing and said: “There was a lot of ground to make up and he never panicked. I’d say she loved it and got a bit of confidence.
“Her two last runs were in Cork and I’d say the track was a bit quick for her. She seemed to like it today.
“She’s grand at that level and I knew she’d win one race like that. It’s a low level but they are all appreciated. She’s genuine.
“It was a great ride and it’s always a help to have that man on board.”
