Cocozza steps up a place from his debut
Cocozza justified favouritism in style in the concluding Coolmore Duke Of Marmalade Maiden at Cork under Fran Berry.
Berry made all on the Byerley Thoroughbred Racing colt and he strode clear from two furlongs to beat his stable companion Manieree by three and a half lengths.
Winning trainer John Oxx said: "He is a fine horse and he did it well. He had good form and we'd have been disappointed if he didn't win there. There is not much left for him now, the Killavullan will come too quickly for him.
"He had a little setback which delayed him, only for that he'd have been out before now and then we'd have gone for the Killavullan.
"Anyway he is a good looker, he has a good pedigree and hopefully he'll be a good horse next year."
