Clover Pearl scores for Cullen/Flood
Trainer Michael Cullen's Clover Pearl under Paddy Flood, landed the williamhill.ie Handicap Hurdle at Galway today and may run again at the Festival meeting on Saturday.
Clover Pearl tracked the leaders, made a bad mistake three out, was soon under pressure but battled gamely and was not headed after jumping the last in front.
Afterwards Cullen stated "provided Clover Pearl comes out of this race well, she may take her chance in the feature 2m5f handicap hurdle here on Saturday."
He added "I thought she was in trouble in the dip today but it may have been the tacky ground - she wants fast ground."
