Baily Cloud got a deserved win to his name as he made all to take the Racing Again Tomorrow Maiden Hurdle.
Placed four times last season the Mouse Morris trained five-year-old was well-beaten on his most recent outing in a Grade 2 at Fairyhouse in April.
Making his seasonal debut here he was sent off at 2/1 under Bryan Cooper.
In front throughout he was briefly joined two out by the 8/11 favourite Stuccodor
The winner was pushed along after that flight and he soon regained the lead, keeping on well under pressure on the run-in to score by four lengths. Rathmuck Native (6/1), who ran around on the approach to the last, finished second under David Mullins for Peter Fahey, while the aforementioned Stuccodor was a further four and three parts of a length back in third under Ruby Walsh for Dermot Weld.
Mouse Morris said afterwards: "He was running in good company last year and I thought he might need it and blow up today. I'd say his class got him there.
"He'll stay hurdling this year. He still has to fill out a bit, and can go chasing next season."
