Cailin Cliste overcame a wide draw to get up close home to win the Racing TV Handicap at Fairyhouse.
Rider Chris Hayes was content to sit in mid division in the early stages of the contest, allowing his mount every chance to travel and find her feet.
Turning for home, the pair made their move down the centre of the track and kept on strongly to head Jupiter Express and hold off the fast finishing Jedi Power
It was a third winner of the season for rookie trainer John O'Donoghue who has made a bright start to his new career.
“I think we've figured out how to ride her, she just needs to be ridden very cold,” said O'Donoghue.
“It's great for the syndicate. She got held up as a two-year-old and only ran three times, they had a good long wait until she got out again.
“She's now twice a winner and was also second at the Curragh. I think we'll have a bit of fun in Galway at the end of the month. That's been the plan since early in the season and to win twice along the way is the icing on the cake.”
