Sun 5th Jun 2011, 16:56

Keith Clarke got a great run out of Katie’s Jem to provide a 14/1 upset in Kilbeggan’s three mile handicap hurdle when winning by one-and-a-half lengths from fellow 14/1 shot Killegney

It was jockey Clarke’s first winner since last November. Tipperary-based trainer Timothy Cleary’s successful mare is in foal to Stowaway. Lady Perspex who was backed from 5/1 to 4/1 on course took third place with Johnny Two Keys (12/1 to 7/1) finishing fourth.

Patrick Downey’s Larkin was supported at all prices from 4/1 to 5/2 favouritism but finished sixth.
