Claire just holds on
Davy Moran stepped in for the winning ride aboard Leah Claire in the 1m2f handicap at Dundalk.
The Tomba filly hit the front a furlong-and-a-half out and held off the strong challenge of Try Freedom by the narrowest of margins.
"We love this filly - she means a lot to us as she was reared on our own farm," said winning trainer Matthieu Palussiere.
"She came out of her last race very well and we gave her a god chance today. She's very tough. We hope to bring her back here for another handicap."
