Cinsa had to work to land the odds in the opener at Wexford this afternoon.

The Willie Mullins-trained filly went to post a 4/11 shot in the 'unplaced' mares maiden hurdle and disputed early under Sean O'Keeffe.

She tracked front-runner Artemis Angel after a couple of flights and was driven along to tackle that rival turning for home.

The daughter of Tirwanako was slightly untidy at the second last but soon led and had a couple of lengths advantage jumping the last. Young Darleen kept her honest in the closing stages as she stayed on to get within half a length at the line while Dylan's Day also finished well, a neck back in third.

Cinsa was taking a significant drop in class today having competed in three Grade 1 contests since joining Mullins.

O'Keeffe: "I just wanted to keep it simple enough. Sean Flanagan's horse (Artemis Angel) was a bit keen early on, so I was happy enough to let them go along and track them.

“She got underneath the second last and just had a look then when she hit the front. She idled up to the line but was always doing enough. I'd say if something had came to her, she would have battled and found more.

“She is only a four-year-old and is getting more experience all the time, so hopefully she will keep improving."
