The Bill Farrell trained Cillian's Return made the breakthrough at bumper level when improving on form figures of '432' to land the concluding Follow Fairyhouse On Twitter Bumper at Fairyhouse today.
Ridden by Johnny King, the son of Diamond Green made all and stayed on strongly in the straight for a two and three parts of a length win over 6/4 favourite and Dermot Weld trained newcomer Vigil
Farrell, who was recording just his second National Hunt winner, later stated “he did it well but needed to, as he had some solid form.
“He knew his job and improved since Punchestown; he was a nice horse in the spring but was raw and we needed to gave him a summer's grass, which involved a bit of patience. He'll come on again and he's not a bad horse.”
