Chois The Idea made a successful debut in handicap company when claiming the six-furlong event at Cork.
Danny Grant had his mount handy on the outer in the early stages before taking up the running with two furlongs to go.
The Choisir gelding stuck on well in the closing stages to hold the late run of Battleroftheboyne by a length.
The easy-to-back winner (9/2 to 6/1) had opened his account at Down Royal just over a fortnight ago. Imaginationrunwild was sent off the 10/3 favourite but couldn't land a blow after meeting trouble in running.
"He's probably better on that softer ground than what he had at Down Royal," said Grant afterwards.
"He's going to improve and there was tons more left in the tank. He seems decent."
