Pats Choice dug deep to run out a gutsy winner of the two-mile handicap chase at Naas for Gordon Elliott and Jack Kennedy.
The Getaway gelding was to the fore throughout and was just headed going to the final fence by Union Park as the pack closed up behind.
He regained a narrow advantage, up the rail, on the run-in and repelled the late challenge of Itwasfate to record a half-length win at odds of 16/1.
Elliott said:- “Jack gave him a brilliant ride. He jumped great and travelled great for him.
“He grabbed hold of him and got him out there early.
“He was headed a few times but Jack gave him a great ride. He’ll keep going in them two-miles chases.”
