All The Chimneys justified strong support in the Blackcastle Handicap Chase to send punters home happy at Navan.
The Willie Austin-trained gelding, successful three times over hurdles within the last ten months, was available at 3/1 this morning and backed on track from 7/4 into 5/4 favouritism.
The eight-year-old travelled superbly under Eamonn Corbett, who only asked for an effort on the run-in.
The favourite eased clear to beat Ontopoftheworld by two and a half lengths, with Blackwater Bridge the same distance further back in third.
Austin said, “He likes doing it that way and he had a light weight. He’s had three or four runs fairly quick so we may give him a bit of a break.
"There are not too many two-mile chases coming up in that grade.”
