Cherryantor springs shock for Madden
Cherryantor (David Splaine) is clear at the last

Cherryantor sprang a 25/1 shock when running out a cosy winner of the handicap hurdle at Roscommon. Tom's Last Euro took them along in the two-and-a-half mile contest but was headed going to the third last by 4/1 favourite Easy Reach
His lead was short-lived however as David Splaine sent Cherryantor to the front before the next.
He had things in control going to the last and Splaine could afford to look around for non-existent dangers as the Iggy Madden-trained gelding went on for a six-and-a-half-length victory.
The winner had produced a decent effort to finish fourth at Ballinrobe last month but was unfancied here having been pulled up on his last start at Kilbeggan.
It was the first winner in just over a year for Galway handler Madden who said afterwards:-
"That was badly needed. He's a horse that was off for a long-time (before this year).
"He was flat out going down the back but he kept going when the others stopped. Fair play to David who gave him a good positive ride.
"Hopefully he'll be sound in the morning."
