Cheek-Pieces Do Trick for Rothwell Again
Philip Rothwell's Jacks Island became a second result for the layers in as many races when the 20/1 shot made all under Shane Jackson in the Ballypatrick Handicap Hurdle, a brilliant leap at the last helping him to a two length success over Matchbook
This fellow, a son of Turtle Island, was similar to Lock Mor Lad, by the same sire, who landed a gamble with the first time aids at Downpatrick before Christmas. Of course Rockers Field also justified some good bets in first-time cheek-pieces over the Festive period for the Wicklow outfit. (EM)
