Chapter confirms promise
Chapter Nine confirmed the promise of his debut effort when getting off the mark in the 1m2f maiden at Dundalk.
Chris Hayes hit the front over a furlong out on the Expelled gelding and he stuck on well in the closing stages to repel the challenge of Livaleo by a neck.
"He ran a good race at Navan and we brought him here thinking he would win," said trainer Jimmy Coogan.
"He loves that surface and works well on the polytrack on the Curragh. He stuck at it well but Chris said he just pricked his ears and thought he had done enough.
"He might go for a three-year-old hurdle next or could come back here if there is anything for him."
