Chaparral lands the odds
Miss Chaparral (2/9f) was a warm order in the 1m2f fillies maiden at Sligo and duly collected.
Pat Smullen, who was recording a double, always had the daughter of High Chaparral at the head of affairs.
The Dermot Weld-trained filly saw off the challenge of La Soie down the straight to score.
"It's great to get a win with her," said travelling head lad Paddy O'Brien. "Pat says she's only going to get better with time."
