Colin Keane was at his best on appropriately named Coolcalmcollected (8/1) at Dundalk today, as the Champion Jockey bagged the DundalkStadium.com Nursery for trainer Ciaran Murphy and owner Dot Love.
Held up in rear, Keane delivered just two cracks of the whip a furlong out, and under a composed hands-and-heels drive, improved past leader Not Too Real Bad close home for a half-length success.
Winning owner Love transferred her trainer's license to Murphy in January 2021 and today she said "he (Coolcalmcollected) is definitely a horse for next year, he's still green, but is a lovely, lovely model. He's nice and honest.
"We are really pleased with him and we won't be too hard on him. It is a nice way to end the season I think, but the boss might overrule that!"
