Champion Jockey-elect Colin Keane notched winner number 129 in record-breaking season today at Dundalk, steering Marbling to win the Irish Stallion Farms EBF (Fillies) Handicap for his employer trainer Ger Lyons.
The daughter of Kingman was a French winner at Le Mans in September 2020 prior to selling to current connections for 42,000gns and today won gained a first Irish win on her sixth attempt when beating Sister Lola by a length.
Jockey Keane passed retired jockey Joseph O'Brien's 126 record for the 2013 season on Lyons' Power Under Me at the Curragh on Sunday and following today's win, Shane Lyons, representing his brother Ger Lyons, reported “we’re very happy and it’s a good pot to win.
“She’s been working well at home and finally she’s brought it to the track.
“She’s suited by seven or a mile and will stay on the team next year fighting for black type.
“I’d imagine that will be it for this year.”
