C'est Rien (9/1) rewarded patient trainer Tom Mullins and owner/breeder Helen Mullins with a first success at the 26th attempt today, landing Tramore' Free Streaming All Racing At Tote.ie Handicap Chase on her fences' debut.
It has been an uphill battle for the Walk In The Park-mare since debuting in January 2022 but today jumped well under the trainer's nephew Danny Mullins, who produced her from rear to lead on the run-in, beating Greenway Machine by 1.75 lengths.
Mullins reported "she was third and fourth a few times but just got worse and worse over hurdles so I was in trouble with her and didn't know where to go. Danny (Mullins) had said, after riding her a year ago, to run her in one of those chases around the likes of Tramore, so he was right!
“We tried everything bar blinkers and that was the next thing, if she didn't do it today. She was very genuine today though and I couldn't believe how well she jumped.
"She'll go for something similar now. I'd said she'll come back here anyway, that's the plan. Is Tramore on again next week?!”
