It proved plain sailing for Celtic Times as Jim Bolger's charge made all to land the Glenvale Stud Race at Tipperary this evening.
Kevin Manning bounced out in front on the Dawn Approach colt in the seven furlong contest and he had his rivals at work passing the two pole.
The 13/8 favourite was asked for an effort over a furlong out and kept on strongly in the closing stages to post a length-and-a-half winning margin over Howth
Celtic Times had finished fourth to Castle Star in the Group 3 Marble Hill Stakes at the Curragh on his previous outing.
Travelling head lad Ger Flynn said:- “He got left over six the last day and Kevin said he handled the ground well today and that it is onwards and upwards now.
“Stepping up to seven was a big help and the ground is also a big help when you can handle it like that. This opens up more opportunities and he can step up in trip also.
"I thought he was the form horse in the race but giving weight to two of the runners is a fair ask."
