Catherine lands odds in Dundalk opener

Fri 14th May 2010, 18:54

Catherineofaragon justified her proibitive odds in the opener at Dundalk when running out a cosy winner.

Johnny Murtagh made all on the daughter of Holy Roman Emperor for a length-and-a-half success. Braehead had moved alongside the 1/5 favourite under two furlongs from home but had no more offer in the closing stages.

25/1 shot Little Fairy showed some promise a length back in third. Winning trainer Aidan O'Brien was absent.
