Catcheragain waited seven years for her maiden win at Thurles on Thursday and today gained her second win in three days when landing the Gowran Park Racing Club (Mares) Handicap Hurdle at Gowran today.
Winning trainer Tom Mullins on Thursday expressed his relief that the mare had won, saying he “didn’t have any soft feelings for her as she's not easy to train” and today gave him more cause for celebration when battling gamely under 7lbs claimer Adam Shortt to edge ahead close home for a half length win over Adreamstillalive
Following today’s win Mullins quipped “this time last week I didn't think she was going to have won two races!
“We took a chance and it paid off as she showed no signs of having a hard race in Thurles.
"I was happy when they changed the going from yielding to good to yielding and judging by that we could be stretching her out in trip next time."
