Catch Me Very Smooth in Boyne
Catch Me has really blossomed this term and the seven-year-old made it four on the bounce since reappearing last November when justifying odds of 4/9 in the Ladbrokes.com Boyne Hurdle.
Andrew McNamara glanced back at the others as he tackled Aitmatov travelling much the better after two out, and he sent Catch Me on before the last, letting him coast to a very easy eleven length success over Oscar Rebel
Successful trainer, Edward O'Grady said: "I'm delighted, that was much easier than I anticipated. I really don't know where he is going to run. I'd love to go to Cheltenham and if it came up soft or heavy I'd run him in the Champion Hurdle. I just don't know how bullish I am about the stayers and then there is always Aintree. It is a nice problem to have."
Ladbrokes, the race-sponsor here, gave Catch Me a 50/1 quote for the Champion Hurdle. Paddy Power go 20/1 from 25/1 about the German-bred for the World Hurdle. Cashmans remain at 25/1 about James O'Shea's gelding for the same race. (EM)
