- Casey shines on Hinged
Casey shines on Hinged
David Casey produced Un Hinged with a well-timed run to claim the novice handicap chase at Fairyhouse.
The John Coleman-trained gelding was given a patient ride in a fast run event and came through at the last to take it up.
He went on to record a length-and-a-half success over Uncle Tom Cobley
The winner had also been successful at this meeting a year ago when scoring over hurdles.
"This was the plan. He had the biggest day of his career here last year," said James Nash, who was representing Coleman.
"He ran well at Gowran recently. The plan was to make the running but David realised that they went off like scalded cats.
"So he gave him a beautiful ride to take it up late on.
"He's not getting any younger. He's entered for a two-mile handicap at Punchestown and should definitely go there."
