Casey and Swan in form at Roscommon
Charlie Swan was in the winners enclosure this evening after he won The Kiltoom Handicap Chase with On The Other Hand with David Casey doing the steering in the familiar colours of JP McManus.
Casey raced his mount in mid-division, took closer order 4 out, kept on under pressure to lead before last and stayed on well to hold off the efforts of Mutineer trained by Dessie Hughes.
Charlie Swan said afterwards, "The last time this horse ran over fences he broke his shoulder but thanks to John Halley and Gerry Kelly our two vets they did a great job to get him back. He doesn't like soft ground so that will dictate as to where we go next with him."
