Carroll three from three at Tipp
Gary Carroll completed a treble on Beauthea who dead-heated with King's Bastion in the Tipperary Town Handicap.
Carroll deputised for Shane Foley on Casamento half-an-hour earlier and here he stood-in for the unwell Johnny Murtagh on Beauthea. Carroll's other winner was Della'Alba in the opener.
Beauthea is trained by Joanna Morgan for Fiona McStay whilst King's Bastion who finished best to force a division of the spoils, is trained and owned by Luke Comer and was ridden by Martin Harley.
Morgan remarked of Beauthea: "She’s a lovely game little filly and she is in at Galway on Monday and she might go there."
With no mirror image available the judge had to declare a dead-heat even though King's Bastion looked like he'd got up.
Johnny Murtagh was found to be dehydrated and is stood down for 48 hours.
