From her position as third reserve Call Me Dolly made the most of it when getting into the Littleton Handicap to bring up a Thurles double for Gary Carroll.
Gavin Cromwell ’s charge had plenty of supporters too, backed in from 13/2 into 9/2 second favourite.
Following on from his success half-an-hour earlier on Blankiedoodie for John McConnell, here Carroll chased the leaders on the successful chestnut.
Fourth halfway, Call Me Dolly was ridden to dispute the lead on the inner two furlongs out.
She led a furlong and a half out, keeping on well in the final furlong to beat market-leader Franno by a length and a half.
"She has been running well, she had a good draw today and I used it and sat box-seat,” reported Carroll.
“She travelled well the whole way, I never had to come off the rail, she picked up well and she got to the line well.
"She handled that ground lovely, stays that trip well and deserved it."
J.M. Sheridan, rider of Drummer (GB) trained by Denis Gerard Hogan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung badly left from four furlongs out.
S. Foley, rider of Vivalicious trained by P.F.McEnery, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount got a bit tight for room from two furlongs out.
