Total Look (7/2) showed good resolution to rally for victory in the JTW Distribution Roscommon Maiden. It'sonlyjustbegun looked to have claimed Total Look racing into the final quarter of a mile, however, she didn't increase her lead and Total Look still held a chance inside the final furlong.
Total Look grittily found more and worked his way back to the front approaching the final 50 yards. He stayed on well for Gary Carroll to extend his lead to a length and a-half at the winning post from It'sonlyjustbegun (12/1). Woottonpassit gave his each-way backers a dividend in third at 20/1.
This gave Carroll a double on the card as he was also successful aboard Alto Sax in the opener.
Gavin Cromwell said: “He had a nice draw and he went forward, it was grand.
“I was a little bit concerned that a mile and a-quarter on that ground would be a little bit sharp for him, but he made plenty of use of him and he was good and gutsy in the last 100 yards.
“I think he'll continue to improve.”
