Wexford trainer Shay Slevin made the long journey up worthwhile when winning The Race On Baileys Maiden Hurdle with Ben Swift in the hands of Sonny Carey.

Winning trainer Slevin stated afterwards, "This place has been a lucky track for me. This lad has been running consistent enough and thought he would have a chance today. I think he'd stay the 3 miles and we might go for a novice hurdle next."
