The Tony Martin trained Lochan Lacha landed a gamble when winning The 2009 Membership Handicap Hurdle, owned by Michael Bailey and ridden by Paul Carberry making it a double on the day for the jockey.

Martin said afterwards, "He ran well the last day so it was nice to see him win here today. We will probably go handicap chasing with him now over 3 or 4 miles."
