Carberry clan collect
Tommy Carberry's Peak Raider under the trainer's son Philip Carberry, ran out the five length winner of the Powerstown Demesne Handicap Hurdle at Clonmel today.
The son of Machiavellian raced in mid-division on the outer before progressing to lead before the second last, staying on well for a comfortable success.
Carberry Snr later reported "Philip (Carberry) saw this horse when he was in France and advised a syndicate of ours to buy him. He ran twice on the Flat there but seems to love jumping hurdles. He's only a 4yo, handles soft ground and will go for another handicap next."
