Carberry clan collect
The Carberry clan were on the mark at Leopardstown today when father Tommy Carberry saddled his Peak Radar, under son Peter John Carberry, to win the paddypower.com iPhone App Handicap Hurdle.
Carberry Jnr, who has been making a name for himself since moving to Britain in recent months, produced the gelding with perfect timing to lead on the run-in, eventually proving too strong for Action Master
Jockey Carberry later mentioned “its nice to come home and ride a winner but to do it for my father on such a big day is extra special. Peak Radar travels really well in his races and needs a strong gallop. He jumps so well but I didn’t want to hit the front too soon.”
