Carberry Takes last Two at Wexford
J P McManus saw his silks carried to success twice at Wexford, Salesin in the 6.55 and the brace was completed in very easy fashion by Adajal in the Raven Point (Q.R.) Maiden Hurdle. This fellow was putting some frustrating efforts behind him as he bolted in at odds of 11/8 for Charlie Swan with Nina Carberry in the saddle.
Carberry went on to register her own double on Miss Maranello in the bumper. This one beat the staying-on favourite, Ella Watson by two lengths. The victorious daughter of King's Theatre is trained by Henry de Bromhead and she was following up a couple of second placings, the latest of which was over course and distance a fortnight ago behind Charlie Swan's useful looking Raise You Ten.
