- Captain could reappear at Naas
Captain could reappear at Naas
Eddie Harty is considering the Grade 3 Poplar Square Chase at Naas on Saturday October 30 as a starting point this term for his stable star Captain Cee Bee.
The former Supreme Novices Hurdle winner signed off last term by also scoring in Grade 1 company over fences when taking the Ryanair Novice Chase at the Punchestown Festival.
“The Poplar Square is an ideal race to start him off being over two miles and for second season novices. He's in good form but will need some rain to go there. Hopefully we will get some in the next week,” said the Curragh trainer.
Harty was speaking after saddling the well-supported Il Boro to take the mile nursery at Navan.
