From under two furlongs out, winner, Cappadocia (Wayne Lordan), kept a much straighter line than runner-up, Shinyhappyjohn and that enabled him to get home by a neck in the Easter Dining At Dundalk Handicap, with a head back to the big finisher, Shabra Emperor
Cappadocia was reversing form with Shabra Emperor from last Friday night (when the pair were first and second over a furlong further).
A pair that were lively in the betting, Mystical Past (the pace-setter), and Boughtforasong eventually had to settle for fifth and sixth places respectively.
"I'm delighted. He deserved to run well after the way he ran the last night," said winning trainer Seamus Fahey.
"He seems to have plenty of boot and we might stick to six if we can get it. He could even drop to five.
"We'll see what's coming up in the next couple of weeks and he could go on and run on the grass.
"He won well and might even go on a win a couple." (GC & EM)
