Cahirconree defied top-weight when landing the Point To Point Evening At Tipperary Handicap Chase under Brian Hayes.
Denis O'Regan was in search of a double and his patient approach on Afatcat looked like it might pay off when his mount crept into it travelling well in the straight.
However Seamus Neville's Cahirconree had plenty left in the locker between the final couple of fences and he stayed on well for a three and three parts of a length win.
"He has been 'knocking' and has been suffering with seconditis a bit but he's got there!," said Neville.
"He's consistent and had some decent runs but just hit the cross bar a couple of times.
"Chasing is probably his game (ran over hurdles latest) and hopefully he'll pick up a few more along the way."
