Bye Bye Baby the strong 5/4 favourite, delivered in convincing fashion from the front in the Listed Staffordstown Stud Stakes at Navan.
There was a chance that Donnacha O'Brien's mount could find most improvement off her maiden win and going up to a mile.
That’s how it panned out and she saw off Coeur D'Amour by two and a quarter lengths.
Bye Bye Baby's fellow Ballydoyle participants, Ballet Shoes (Padraig Beggy) and Sizzling (Wayne Lordan) filled the third and fourth spots.
Donnacha O'Brien said afterwards: "She's done it nicely. She got it easy up front and quickened up well. She tries hard and is taking her racing well. Hopefully she will be a nice middle distance filly next year."
The Stewards enquired into an incident about 200 yards from the finish involving Ballet Shoes, ridden by P.B. Beggy, placed third, Coeur D'amour ridden by W.J. Lee, placed second and Solar Wave ridden by K.J. Manning, placed sixth, where it appeared that Solar Wave ran short of room and checked.
Evidence was heard from the riders concerned.
Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards took no further action.
