A busy spell for Expreso Brasileiro (a third run in ten days) culminated in a deserved success for the 9/4 favourite, in the Follow Roscommon On Facebook Handicap.
Maintaining the top form of the Willie McCreery string, the fact that Billy Lee was riding at eight stone twelve aboard the Lope de Vega colt was interpreted as a good sign by some.
Those that took the hint were rewarded as Expreso Brasileiro came through from mid-division travelling well in the straight, and he ended up racing away to a convincing four length success over Oor Jock
"He done it well and he loves that ground. I rode him more patiently today. He takes his racing well so he'll probably be out again soon," commented Lee.
V.Clifford, trainer of Hurricane Twister reported to the Clerk of Scales that his charge coughed post race in the stable yard.
