Burns seen to good effect
County Tipperary trainer Gerard Quirk was in the winner's enclosure this evening after 11/4 favourite Fiddlededee landed the p2p.ie Mares Point-To-Point Flat Race.
Joe Burns who took the riding honours took up the lead travelling well from under two furlongs out and kept at it well to score by a convincing four and a half lengths.
Winning trainer Quirk said afterwards: "She did it well, when she won at the Pigeons she won like that, she didn't come under any pressure."
"I don't know what we'll do next, the Summer is coming so we might wait until the soft ground comes again."
