Burke and Doyle strike again
Martin Burke partnered his first winner as a professional just last Sunday and the Tipperary youngster was on the mark again in the Martinstown Opportunity Handicap Hurdle on Tim Doyle's Mr Eko at Thurles.
In a contest where the handicapper did his job well as all twelve contestants finished within hailing distance of each other, Mr Eko held-off the determined effort of Matthew Bowes and Buck Breeze
Doyle said: "That was great and he is going the right way. He is a fine big horse with a good temperament. Hopefully there's more to come and that he'll make a smashing chaser next year."
