The COLM QUINN BMW (C & G) (Pro/Am) Flat Race was won by Da Capo Glory (9/2) who was a first winner for County Cork trainer Padraig Butler.
The Fame And Glory gelding tracked the leaders before getting a run through on the inner entering the home straight.
Hugging the far rail, Darragh Allen’s mount stayed on well to account for Halligator (6/1) by four and three quarter lengths with the 15/8 favourite Noble Birth another seven lengths back in third.
The winning rider is a second cousin of Cox Plate winner Johnny Allen.
A delighted winning trainer Butler said: "That's my first winner and I got the restricted trainers' license in April. I have three in training and I worked with Thomas O'Leary (trainer) years ago and with my cousin James Dullea.
"I'm based in Timoleague and this is a hobby at the moment but I wouldn't rule out getting bigger in the future. It's not my day job yet!
"We've had super luck with Darragh and he rode our two point-to-point winners and there are five of us in the syndicate, four are west Cork-based and another is in London.
"He had two good runs in the spring but were half-worried coming here because some of the others had a run and we didn't. He has an engine though and should make a smashing hurdler."
