Willie Mullins was at Chantilly this afternoon but in his absence things continued in a familiar successful vein for his operation with a Tipperary treble. Brahma Bull brought up the hat-trick in the Kenyon Street Traders (C&G)(Pro/Am) INH Flat Race.
Patrick Mullins' mount, with his twelve stone three burden, looked vulnerable to Peacocks Secret inside the final quarter mile.
However the record breaking amateur got the most from his mount along the rail inside the last, to ward off his cousin Emmet's charge by half a length.
"I probably didn't go fast enough on him and to carry 12st3lbs isn't easy and he's a horse who is going to want a trip in time," the winning rider reported.
"He looks a staying chaser to me and not many horses win three bumpers and fair play to Rich (Ricci) as he had him three years before he ran. My father was very patient with him and I think that's paying dividends now.
"I don't know what the plan is but I imagine he might go jumping now."
The earlier Mullins winners were both ridden by Ruby Walsh - Sayar in the 4.00 and Rathvinden in the 5.05.
