Bucket collects for the Madden family
The concluding www.tramore-racecourse.com Maiden Hurdle proved a real family affair for the Madden's as Shake The Bucket justified 11/8 favouritism.
The Ashkalani gelding, which is owned by Sarah Ann, ridden by her brother Niall (nicknamed Slippers) and trained by their father Niall senior (Boots), led approaching the final flight and just held off the challenge of Burma Rock (5/1).
The winning trainer Niall Madden said, “Sarah Ann is currently in the air on the way back from a month's holiday in Australia. He ran a bit free but its great that he's won.
"My younger son Tom used to shake the bucket when feeding him, and that's how he got his name."
