Brog king at Killarney
Brog An Ri was pretty easy to back at 10/1 for the Bourn Vincent Memorial Park/Killarney Racegoers Club Maiden Hurdle but that didn't stop him prevailing by three parts of a length from Pops Rocket
Shay Barry was at work on the King's Theatre gelding up the straight and he forced his mount up close home. Lord Ben made a mistake two out and can be considered a little unlucky as he ran on for third, a neck away.
Barry said of the Pat Flynn-trained winner, successful in a bumper on his debut when with Joe Crowley: "We went a nice even gallop. He had the bit of toe when I needed it and he's not too bad."
Short-priced favourite, Riverstown was beaten from a fair way out and eventually had to settle for eighth.
