Whats Up Britta opened her account when claiming the 2m6f handicap hurdle at Thurles.
Paul Flynn 's charge landed a bit of a touch, being backed from 7/1 into 5/1 joint favourite.
Mick Darcy sent his mount up to dispute four from home and she went on by a few lengths before the next.
The Milan mare stayed on gamely down the straight to land the spoils by two-and-a-quarter lengths from Rudigreen
The winner was encountering a sound surface for the first time after some encouraging runs on softer ground.
"She'll be kept going now in similar races," said Flynn afterwards.
The other joint favourite Chasers Chance trailed in last of eleven finishers.
